CENTRAL MACULAR THICKNESS REDUCTION AFTER INTRAVITREAL INJECTION OF BEVACIZUMAB COMPARED TO INTRAVITREAL KETOROLAC IN NAIVE DIABETIC MACULAR EDEMA

Introduction: Diabetic macular edema (DME) is a debilitating complication of the diabetic eye. Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) was found to be responsible for this disease entity, and anti-VEGF remains main treatment DME.  Methods: We conducted double blind, randomized clinical trial DME patients intravitreal injection bevacizumab ketorolac. Central thickness (CMT) assessed pre-treatment one-month post-treatment. Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA) Intraocular Pressure (IOP) were also assessed. Wilcoxon tests performed evaluate changes CMT, visual acuity, IOP.
 Result: enrolled 50 treatment-naïve from March 2020 2021. Twenty-five allocated each group. There statistically significant difference CMT at follow-up between two groups (p:0.001) markedly reduced (p:0.001), reduction higher BCVA significantly group (p:0.01), but there no (p:0.07).
